Request For Proposal is a Request for Progress
July 31, 2024
We’re mid-summer and veraison has started – a colorful display in the vineyards! For those unfamiliar with veraison, check it out here, it’s exciting! This transition always leads us to think of what’s around the corner – harvest, holidays, and your next project to push your brand and drive sales.
Is it time to build your website? Develop new collateral for your wine club? Refresh your bottle packaging?
An RFP provides potential partners with detailed information about your project, expectations, and criteria, helping them develop proposals that best bring your vision to life.
Before reaching out to an agency, let’s discuss the steps to develop your RFP.
- Company Overview
Begin with a brief introduction and summary of your organization: history, mission, and goals.
- Objectives: Scope of Work + Deliverables
Provide an overview of the project with specific problems you are looking to solve or opportunities you’d like to explore. Outline your target audience, markets, and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- Design + Aesthetic
Include your branding guidelines (colors, fonts, logos) and user experience (UX) needs. This is a good category to provide examples you admire. Be specific in what you find engaging and what you would like to emulate.
- Functional + Technical
List the functional & technical requirements. Some may include: Ecommerce functionality for a website; Shipping specs/capacity; Ability to capture client information on forms.
- Potential Roadblocks or Barriers
Here’s your opportunity to be transparent about any elements that might be limiting. And maybe this is an opportunity for your agency to have solutions!
- Timeline + Budget
It’s important to outline any timing goals or constraints you have in mind, as well as budget. Both allow us to provide you with proposals that can deliver your requests and requirements within these parameters.
-
Remember this Request for Proposal is a Request for Progress, so add any other items you deem important to your brand goals.
